The City of Boulder is updating our Flood and Stormwater Master Plan. The master plan guides how we manage floods and stormwater (water from rain or snowmelt) and how we can best protect people, ecosystems and property from their impacts. Boulder faces the highest risk of flash flooding for any city in Colorado. Since the master plan was last updated in 2004, we've experienced a record-setting flood and wildfires. With climate change increasing the severity and frequency of extreme weather, these are no longer once-in-a-lifetime events. The CFS Master Plan is looking at how we can best adapt our flood and stormwater management practices to increase resiliency, protect our community from flood risks, and prevent pollution and ecosystem damage from stormwater runoff. The feedback period has closed. Thanks to everyone who provided their feedback!
